Spring has finally sprung…

The bird nesting season is well underway, with eggs in nests. These must be left by law until late summer when young have left the nest. Hoping the weather holds so I can catch up with the chimney stack work, plenty of reflaunching, new pots and pointing to be done. The new chimney scaffolding equipment needs to be up on the roof earning it’s keep.

HETAS 009 Everyday’s a School Day

Every day is a school day in the chimney sweeping business ! In a ongoing plan to increase our knowledge base & skill sets, Tallant Chimney Sweeping is attending the HETAS 009 course run by SPECFLUE in Suffolk this week. On sucessful completion of this course we will be a HETAS Approved Chimney Sweep, making our service more attractive to commercial & private sector of the market.

Bird nesting season

The birds are very active and pairing up this morning as I watch from my kitchen window coffee in hand. This is the ideal time of year to get a bird guard fitted or cap disused flues.
